This 5-day course provides a comprehensive introduction to Agile project management principles and practices.     • Introduction to Scrum: Overview of the Scrum framework, roles, events, and artifacts.
    • Case Study: Implementing Agile in a marketing team – transitioning from a Waterfall approach. Interactive exercise: Comparing Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  • Scrum Framework in Detail:
    • Scrum Roles: Deep dive into the roles of the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team. Responsibilities and interactions.
    • Scrum Events: Detailed explanation of Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Purpose and best practices.
    • Scrum Artifacts: Understanding the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment. How they are created and used.
    • Case Study: Running a sprint for a software feature – from planning to review and retrospective. Interactive exercise: Planning a sprint and creating a sprint backlog.

      • User Stories: Writing effective user stories to capture user needs. Acceptance criteria.
      • Story Points & Estimation: Estimating user stories using story points and other techniques. Relative sizing.
      • Velocity & Release Planning: Calculating team velocity and using it for release planning. Forecasting project completion.
      • Case Study: Planning a product release using Agile estimation techniques – estimating user stories and creating a release plan. Interactive exercise: Estimating user stories and calculating team velocity.
    • Agile Project Tracking, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
      • Agile Metrics: Using burn-down charts, velocity tracking, and other metrics to track project progress.
      • Reporting & Communication: Communicating project status to stakeholders using Agile reporting techniques.
